vet at work - The AVMC is situated in the heart of the picturesque and historic Vale of the White Horse, in what used to be
North Berkshire but was 'ceded' to Oxfordshire in 1974. We are 200 yards from the A417,
in the High Street of the ancient village of Stanford in the Vale. It is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Northerly approaches
to the village are via Buckland or Pusey. We are half way between Oxford and Swindon and half
way between Wantage and Faringdon. We are between the A417 and the A420, very close to the A417. The Ordnance Survey six-figure map reference is SU 342931, to be found on sheet 164 (Oxford) and on sheet 174 (Newbury
& Wantage). The postcode (for sat nav etc.) is SN7 8NQ.
